4 Method to Improve Your Instagram Marketing

4 Methods to Improve Your Instagram Marketing

According to the software company, HubSpot, Instagram hosts more than 500 million daily active users. 71 percent of young adults (18-24) used Instagram in 2018, compared with 37 percent who did so in 2013. Instagram is consistently growing and offers unique opportunities for easy marketing.

1. Know your target audience.
As with any advertising or marketing campaign, having a target audience is vital. You cannot target all 500 million daily active users of Instagram, as most will not resonate with your brand’s mission. Pinpoint your mission, your values, and then build an audience that believes the same things as you. Once you have built an engaged target audience, understand it can lead to sales! According to HubSpot, more than one-third of Instagram users have used their mobile devices to online shop. This is 70 percent more than people who are not on Instagram!

2. Utilize the Instagram stories feature.
According to HubSpot, businesses that are on Instagram get up to 37 percent of their total impressions from Instagram stories. While Instagram stories lack heavy text opportunities, they can be a creative, engaging way to interest followers in your brand and be personable. Use stories to generate buzz by hosting polls and asking followers questions relating to your brand or industry.

3. Invest in influencer marketing.
When people think of influencer marketing, they think of getting a celebrity to endorse their brand on Instagram. Refocus your ideology on finding a celebrity in your niche! Every industry has people with a popular voice whose opinions are valued. Pinpoint these people, check to see if your values align, and work out a deal to add visibility to your brand!

4. Discover your best times to post.
According to the social media management and optimization platform, Sprout Social, the best times to post on Instagram are Wednesdays at 11 a.m. and Fridays between 10-11 a.m. These windows have the highest engagement on average. However, each brand will have unique analytics showcasing their best times to post. Track this data and use it to optimize impressions.

How to Market to Millennials

How to Market to Millennials

With millennials being such a large group of people, it’s extremely beneficial to know how to grab their attention. Millennials range from age 18 to 34. There are a lot of stereotypes and ideas about how millennials behave. First things first, you need to forget everything you think you know.

Millennials number one characteristic, and the one you need to utilize, is their understanding of technology and social media. They grew up with the ever-changing, ever-evolving technology. What does this mean? It means they know how to use technology, and they love it. Thus, your marketing plan needs to utilize technology and social media if you are looking to appeal to millenials.

Make it Mobile

There’s the joke that goes around talking about how millennials are always on their phones. If you’re not catching my drift, I’m saying you need to make your outreach mobile, to reach the tech-loving millennials.

For mobile, the most important thing you can remember is this phrase: short, sweet, and to the point. Millennials are commonly known to scan, rather than read in-depth. So, going in with a 1,200-word article about all the amazing things your brand offers won’t really catch their eye. Try to keep your marketing fun and interactive, while using as few words as possible.

Grow Your Social Presence

If you haven’t already, start social media channels for your company. Millennials love to research and see the actual product or service before buying. Having a variety of platforms that they can go to, to learn about your product, read testimonials and get a feel for your brand, will help them to decide if they want to buy or swipe on.

Reach Out to Them

Customer service is very important for millennials. They like to know that no matter how big or small the complaint, you care. Don’t just monitor reports to your website, either. Millennials will use your social media platforms and their own, to talk about what they do and don’t like about your company. Make sure to read the comments on your posts and respond!

It’s even a good idea to search your company name (i.e. #JohnsCompany), some users may not want to tag you directly. However, if you find a negative comment being shared you want to make sure to respond with an answer or a way to file a report. Letting a negative review float around social media can be a big blow to your brand.

Four Reasons to Use Social Media to Reach Your Audience

Four Reasons to Use Social Media to Reach Your Audience

Finding the most effective way to reach your audience can be challenging with all of the different options available. Whether it’s print, social, video, or audio, how can you be sure which one to use and when?

The New Year is the perfect opportunity to make your business the best it can be, and that includes knowing how to use social media to reach your audience. Here are five reasons why you should step up your social media game.

1.    The statistics don’t lie.
Social media marketing has a 100% higher lead-to-close rate than outbound marketing, and 84% of B2B marketers use social media in some form.

The Content Factory found that 70% of business-to-consumer marketers have acquired customers through Facebook. Did you know that 84% of CEOs and VPs say they use social media to help make purchasing decisions?

Social media is a business strategy.

2.     It’s a great way to build relationships.
This can be a fun and easy way to relate to your audience if you do it right. When they see your messages, it seems more like an update rather than an advertisement, and they are more likely to absorb it.

Social media is also a helpful tool to reach out and connect with other businesses in your arena – exchange thoughts, opinions, or simply share each other’s content.

Consumers typically like to see engagement, because it shows you care.

3.    It establishes and solidifies your brand.
Social media is an opportunity for everyone to speak their voice and tell their story.

The Content Factory noted, “When you’re engaging and interacting on social media (not just tossing your posts out onto the web hoping someone will stumble upon them) you become less like a corporation and more like what you truly are — a unified group of people who share a vision.”

How do you want your story to be heard?

4.    Shows ROI.
If you want to increase your sales, using social media is the best way to do so. Getting your name out there and interacting with your audience will expose your business to customers you didn’t know existed.
